Job Description Job Description
About Fuquay, Inc.
Fuquay, Inc. has been building and repairing Texas's underground infrastructure since 1985. We're a family-owned trenchless rehabilitation company based in New Braunfels, with an office in Dallas. We serve cities, utilities, TxDOT and private owners across the state. Our CCTV inspection work is the first step on every rehab project, and what our operators find decides how we line, repair and restore each pipe. We're looking for an experienced operator who knows that footage and defect codes are what everything after them is built on.
The Role
You'll run a fully equipped CCTV camera truck, lead pipeline inspections on sanitary sewer and storm drain systems, and turn out clean, accurate PACP-coded inspection data. Our estimating, engineering and rehab crews rely on that data. You'll run your own truck most days and work with cleaning crews, project managers and client inspectors. This is a skilled, hands-on job, not entry level.
What You'll Do
- Operate a camera truck and robotic crawler system (CUES, Envirosight, Aries or similar) to inspect mainline sewer and storm pipe, roughly 6"-60"+
- Identify and code defects to NASSCO PACP standards; MACP and LACP as projects require
- Capture high-quality video, stills and observations, then build complete inspection reports in WinCan, ITpipes, GraniteNet or similar software
- Log daily production, footage, setups and delays in our field data platform (Fulcrum) accurately and on time
- Coordinate with jet/vac crews on pre-cleaning, and flag pipe that needs re-cleaning before inspection
- Do daily inspections, basic maintenance and field troubleshooting on the truck, crawler, cables, reels, generator and electronics
- Set up and maintain work zones and traffic control, and follow confined space, OSHA and company safety procedures
- Talk professionally with city staff, engineers, inspectors and property owners on site
- Travel to project sites across Texas, sometimes overnight
Required
- Current NASSCO PACP certification. Applications without one will not be considered.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience running a CCTV truck and crawler on municipal sewer or storm systems
- Hands-on experience with at least one industry inspection software package (WinCan, ITpipes, GraniteNet, Pipelogix, POSM, etc.)
- Valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record (MVR will be checked)
- Mechanical aptitude: you can diagnose and fix equipment problems in the field rather than call it a day
- Comfortable with tablets, laptops and digital data entry
- Able to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work outdoors in Texas heat, rain and cold, around traffic and active sewers
- Willing to travel within Texas, including overnight stays
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred
- NASSCO MACP and/or LACP certification
- Lateral launch, sonar/laser profiling or large-diameter inspection experience
- CDL (Class A or B)
- Confined space entry, competent person or TxDOT-compliant flagger/traffic control training
- Experience on TxDOT, municipal capital improvement or consent-decree inspection programs
- Familiarity with how inspection data drives CIPP, spray-applied lining or other trenchless rehab decisions
