Haley's Metal Shop is looking for a motivated and dependable Sheet Metal Installer to join our installation team.
We're seeking individuals with experience in sheet metal and HVAC ductwork installation who take pride in quality workmanship, enjoy working with their hands, and work well as part of a team.
Our projects range from residential HVAC installations and replacements to large commercial and industrial construction projects throughout Maine and New Hampshire.
Whether your background is in residential ductwork, commercial sheet metal, or a combination of both, we'd like to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Install sheet metal ductwork and ventilation systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Measure, lay out, cut, and assemble ductwork and fittings.
- Install rectangular, round, and spiral ductwork, including hangers, supports, registers, grilles, and dampers.
- Read and interpret installation drawings, mechanical plans, and job specifications.
- Work alongside installation crews, foremen, and project managers to complete projects efficiently.
- Coordinate with other trades on construction and renovation projects.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and aerial lifts as applicable.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of sheet metal or HVAC installation experience preferred.
- Residential or commercial ductwork installation experience.
- Basic understanding of ductwork installation methods and materials.
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic layout.
- Experience using common sheet metal hand and power tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license.
- OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and continue developing trade skills.
