What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair residential appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, ranges, cooktops, microwaves, and other major household appliances.
- Travel to customers' homes to perform scheduled service calls.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic appliance issues.
- Provide customers with clear explanations of recommended repairs and associated costs.
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards for workmanship and safety.
- Order, manage, and maintain commonly used parts and supplies.
- Accurately document diagnoses, repairs, parts, payments, and service-call information.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional company vehicle.
- Communicate with customers and office staff regarding scheduling, parts, follow-up visits, and repair status.
- Deliver a professional, friendly customer experience from arrival through completion of the service call.
- Follow company procedures, manufacturer specifications, and applicable safety standards.
What We're Looking For
- Previous appliance repair, HVAC, electrical, automotive, maintenance, or other mechanical experience is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable working with electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily service-call schedule.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and work around residential appliances.
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and diagnostic technology.
- Dependable, punctual, and accountable.
