Fiber Drop Bury Technician

Ascending Communications LLC is looking for dependable, hardworking Fiber Optic Drop Bury Technicians to join our growing fiber construction operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in fiber installation, underground utilities, telecommunications, landscaping, or similar outdoor work who want consistent opportunities to earn money in the fiber industry.

As a Drop Bury Technician, you will be responsible for burying fiber optic drop cables from a telephone pole or ground-level utility pedestal to the customer's home, terminating at the exterior fiber or Wi-Fi equipment location mounted on the side of the house.

We are looking for motivated individuals who take pride in their work, understand the importance of quality and safety, and can complete jobs efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Bury fiber optic drop cables from utility poles or pedestals to residential homes.
• Route and install underground cable according to project specifications.
• Use appropriate tools and equipment to complete installations.
• Identify and avoid existing underground utilities.
• Follow applicable utility-locating requirements and safe digging practices.
• Maintain clean, professional work sites and restore disturbed areas as required.
• Coordinate with supervisors and dispatch regarding assigned jobs.
• Complete required job documentation, photos, and production reports.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners when necessary.
• Meet daily production and quality expectations.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Schedule

• Monday through Saturday.
• Full-time workload based on available projects and production requirements.
• Must be dependable and ready to work consistently.

Earning Potential

Potential monthly earnings: $5,500-$6,000.

Your earnings will depend on completed jobs, production rates, available work, and the agreed-upon compensation structure. This is an earning target, not a guaranteed monthly income.

Compensation details, including any per-drop rates and payment schedule, will be discussed during the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work.
• Ability to lift equipment, dig, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods.
• Dependability and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned jobs.
• Commitment to safe digging practices and job-site safety.
• Fiber optic, drop bury, underground utility, landscaping, or construction experience preferred.
• Must meet applicable project, insurance, and contractor requirements.

Previous fiber experience is beneficial, but candidates with relevant construction or outdoor labor experience who are willing to learn are encouraged to apply.
