Bullseye Glass Co.

Portland, Oregon

Job description

Job Description Job Description

Join a 50-year legacy of supplying the world with art glass that appears in museums, cathedrals, parks, courthouses, hospitals, and even the US Capitol Dome. Locally owned and operated since 1974, Bullseye Glass Co. is a growing company that has always worked shoulder-to-shoulder with artists and architects, uniting creativity and industry, inspiration and perspiration. Awarded Oregon's Coolest Thing Made in 2025!

Bullseye is growing and needs a full-time Production Supervisor. If you're a hands-on leader with common sense, a commitment to safety, and a drive to make things better every day, and you're inspired to help shape one of Portland's original art-driven companies, we want to hear from you.

You'll help lead our glass production departments. Your job is to keep the floor running safely, smoothly, and to Bullseye's quality standards, while helping your team grow.

What you'll do:

  • Lead, train, and develop team members
  • Oversee the daily setup of the area and employee schedules
  • Track internal quality metrics to solve production problems before they grow
  • Lead continuous improvement projects for the department
  • Communicate clearly with other departments, both verbally and in writing

What you'll bring:

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in a production environment
  • A safety-first mindset: you model safe habits and stop work when something isn't right, even under schedule pressure
  • A lead-by-example style that earns the crew's trust and respect
  • Strong coaching skills, with the ability to give direct, fair feedback and handle conflict constructively
  • Calm, sound judgment when equipment, schedules, or people don't go as planned
  • A problem-solver's curiosity: you look for root causes, not just quick fixes
  • Clear, effective communication with the floor, management, and other departments, both verbal and written
  • Accountability: you follow through, own the results, and hold everyone to the same standards
  • Computer literacy
  • The ability to lift, push, and pull 50-80 pounds
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles

Preferred: a bachelor's degree, plus manufacturing and continuous improvement experience. Foundry experience is a plus.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, must be flexible and available for both day and swing shift schedules.
