Put your welding and fabrication skills to work! Steadfast Employment is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator for an industrial facility in Monroe, LA. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving problems, and repairing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Weld, cut, fit, and fabricate metal components.
- Repair worn or damaged metal parts and equipment.
- Read drawings and take accurate measurements for fabrication and repairs.
- Operate welding equipment, cutting torches, grinders, and related tools.
- Assist the maintenance team with equipment repairs and modifications.
- Inspect completed work for quality, fit, and structural integrity.
- Follow safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
- Previous welding and metal fabrication experience.
- Ability to measure, lay out, cut, and fit metal accurately.
- Experience using welding equipment, torches, grinders, and hand tools.
- Ability to follow drawings and verbal instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Industrial equipment repair or maintenance experience preferred.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work independently and with a team.
- Availability to work the 2:00 PM-12:00 AM shift.
