Breast Medical Oncologist - Hartford, CTAn 867-bed tertiary care center and flagship hospital is seeking amedical oncologist with breast cancer sub-specialization to join our team of 4 breast medicaloncologists. The busy breast service sees over 600 new cases of breast cancer annually, caredfor by a multi-disciplinary team of fellowship-trained breast surgeons and medical and radiationoncologists sub-specializing in breast cancer.The clinical team is supported by:
- Fellowship-trained pathologists and radiologists
- Reconstructive surgeons
- A mature genetic counseling program
- An active nurse navigator program
- Programs in development for survivorship, high-risk care, patient education, and breast
rehabilitation servicesProgram Details- Breast Disease Management Team (DMT): A multi-disciplinary group with governance over
quality, research, and innovative program development in breast cancer across the system, working closely with its MSK counterpart- Hartford Hospital Breast Tumor Board meets weekly to discuss individual patient management
- Hospitalist teams cover inpatient care with oncology consult service provided by medical oncology
- Active clinical trial and health disparities research programs; main member of SWOG and NRG
- Opportunities to participate in teaching, clinical research, and quality/outcomes research

- Board Certified in Internal Medicine
- Demonstrated experience practicing within a multidisciplinary team model of care for breast
patients- Academic accomplishment in clinical trials or quality improvement highly desirable
- Eligible for licensure in the State of Connecticut
