We are looking for an experienced Framing Carpenter to build, repair, and modify decks and outdoor structures. The ideal candidate has strong framing skills, understands proper layout and construction techniques, and can work independently while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Build new decks and outdoor structures from plans and specifications
- Repair and rebuild existing decks, framing, stairs, railings, and structural components
- Perform accurate layout, measuring, cutting, and installation
- Install and repair wood framing and decking materials
- Assess damaged or deteriorated framing and determine appropriate repairs
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work with other trades and project personnel as needed
- Follow project specifications, building practices, and safety requirements
Qualifications
- Previous experience in residential or commercial framing
- Experience building and repairing decks
- Strong knowledge of framing techniques, measurements, and layout
- Ability to read and understand construction plans
- Comfortable working with hand and power tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Preferred Experience
- Stucco, plaster, or exterior coating experience is a plus
- Experience with deck coatings or waterproofing systems
- Experience with exterior repairs and remodels
- Experience with stairs, railings, and structural repairs
