Responsibilities: - Supervise and engage children in a safe, nurturing classroom environment
- Facilitate age-appropriate educational activities, play, and learning exercises
- Maintain classroom order and ensure the safety and well-being of all children
- Communicate effectively with staff and parents as needed
- Support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth
- Follow all daycare policies, procedures, and state childcare regulations
Requirements: - Prior experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education coursework a plus
- Ability to obtain or current CPR and First Aid certification
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible availability for substitute assignments
- Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine love for children
- Ability to pass a background check as required by NYS childcare regulations
