Job Description Job Description

Healthcare Staffing Specialist

Company: Provider Healthcare

Department: Business Development

Reports to: Sales Leadership

Help healthcare organizations find the professionals their communities need.

Provider Healthcare connects healthcare organizations with healthcare professionals.

We are seeking a motivated, curious, and results-oriented Healthcare Business Development Consultant to expand our national client network. Our clients include community health centers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), hospitals, medical clinics, tribal healthcare organizations, and government healthcare facilities.

In this role, you will identify prospective clients, engage decision-makers, understand staffing challenges, and secure staffing agreements that create opportunities for successful placements.

This is an outbound sales and client acquisition position. You will own new client development from initial research and outreach through agreement execution, then coordinate with our client representatives and recruiting teams to move qualified opportunities forward.

What You'll Do

Develop new business

  • Research and prioritize healthcare organizations based on staffing needs, service fit, and potential for an active partnership.
  • Consistently prospect through outbound calls, email, LinkedIn, and other appropriate channels.
  • Identify and engage clinical, operational, human resources, and procurement decision-makers.
  • Build relationships with multiple stakeholders when needed to advance an opportunity.

Understand client needs

  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand current and anticipated staffing shortages, hiring priorities, timelines, and decision-making processes.
  • Explain Provider Healthcare's staffing capabilities and connect them to each organization's needs.
  • Use relevant research and market information to create useful conversations with prospective clients.

Advance opportunities and secure agreements

  • Present staffing agreements and explain the value of partnering with Provider Healthcare.
  • Coordinate questions and requested changes with internal leadership.
  • Maintain clear next steps and consistent follow-up through agreement execution.
  • Identify the appropriate purchasing or contracting contacts and processes for each prospective organization.
  • Document executed agreements and coordinate a clear internal handoff.

Build a productive pipeline

  • Maintain accurate CRM records for accounts, contacts, activities, staffing needs, and agreement status.
  • Prioritize opportunities and manage follow-up across an active sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate with client representatives and recruiting teams to assess opportunities and support the transition from signed agreement to active staffing.
  • Participate in pipeline reviews, sales training, and account strategy discussions.

What You Bring

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a confident, professional telephone presence.
  • Comfort initiating conversations with healthcare administrators and senior leaders.
  • Curiosity and the ability to ask thoughtful questions, identify business needs, and adapt your approach.
  • Strong organization, follow-through, and judgment.
  • Motivation to meet performance expectations in an outbound sales environment.
  • A collaborative, coachable approach.
  • Experience using a CRM to manage prospects, follow-up, and opportunities.

Preferred experience

  • Success in business development, inside sales, healthcare staffing, or another business-to-business sales role.
  • Familiarity with FQHCs, community health centers, hospitals, IHS, VA, or tribal healthcare organizations.
  • Experience selling professional services and advancing opportunities through agreement execution.

How Success Is Measured

Success means building a consistent pipeline of qualified healthcare organizations, securing staffing agreements, and helping turn those relationships into active clients.

Performance measures include:

  • Consistent outbound prospecting and timely follow-up.
  • Meaningful conversations and meetings with decision-makers.
  • Qualified staffing opportunities identified.
  • Staffing agreements presented and executed.
  • Newly contracted organizations progressing to active staffing needs and placements, in partnership with the teams responsible for delivery.

Specific activity and outcome targets will be established with sales leadership.
