PreK Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. This role requires a strong understanding of child development principles, classroom management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents. The Preschool Teacher will implement age-appropriate curricula, promote positive behavior, and ensure compliance with all safety and educational standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
• Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Manage daily classroom activities, including circle time, play-based learning, and structured educational exercises.
• Assess individual child progress through observations and standardized testing when applicable; adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Foster positive behavior management techniques to promote respectful interactions among children.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding child progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings and written updates.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of student records.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan special events, field trips, and parent engagement activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that supports health and safety standards.
• Stay current on best practices in early childhood education through ongoing professional development.

We are a nonprofit childcare center. We are open Monday-Friday from 7:00am-5:30pm. We are NAC Accredited and TRS 4.
