Set Up Machine Line Technician - Contract to Hire A manufacturer specializing in a wide range of interior and exterior doors is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Line Technician to support manufacturing operations at Athens, GA facility.
Shift of the Line Technician: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
7:15 PM - 6:45 AM
Must be able to work continental shift that rotates 6 weeks days, 6 weeks night, repeat. This will change in January 2027 to desired shift.
Pay Rate of the Line Technician: $28-$30/hr
Responsibilities of the Line Technician:- Monitor production processes to ensure equipment is operating within established parameters.
- Perform routine inspections and quantity checks to verify product specifications are met.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and assist with equipment adjustments to minimize downtime.
- Conduct basic preventive maintenance activities and support maintenance personnel during repairs.
- Accurately complete production reports, quantity documentation, and equipment.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and communicate concerns to supervision.
- Assist with startup, shutdown, product changeovers, and cleaning activities.
Qualifications of the Line Technician:- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous manufacturing, industrial, wood products, MDF, or automated production experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills required.
- PLC programming
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, procedures, and production documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
