LJ's Handyman Services is looking for a dependable, hardworking Full-Time or Part-Time Handyman Assistant / Laborer to join our team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, wants to learn multiple trades, and takes pride in doing quality work. You will work alongside experienced technicians on a variety of residential repair and improvement projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with residential handyman and repair projects
- Carry materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites
- Assist with drywall repair, painting, flooring, carpentry, decks, and general home repairs
- Assist with basic plumbing and electrical work as directed
- Perform demolition, cleanup, and job-site preparation
- Keep company vehicles, tools, and work areas clean and organized
- Take before-and-after job photos when required
- Follow company safety procedures
- Arrive at jobs on time and ready to work
- Provide courteous and professional service while working in customers' homes
Qualifications
- Dependable and punctual
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Comfortable performing physical labor
- Able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
- Able to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred
- Construction, maintenance, landscaping, remodeling, or handyman experience is helpful but not required
- Willingness to learn is extremely important
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
Schedule
This is a part-time position, with hours varying based on scheduled projects and workload.
There may be opportunities for additional hours and advancement for employees who demonstrate reliability, productivity, and increased handyman skills.
