POSITION SUMMARY
This position is part of a highly independent and professional production team assigned to the manufacturing of custom industrial door systems. The position requires a diverse set of mechanical skills and the ability to learn multiple products and processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Use of various hand operated tools, drills, saws and impact wrenches.
- Use of metric and standard measuring tapes and rulers
- Good mathematic abilities
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Ability to interpret 2D drawings and schematics
- Experience with basic computerized systems (Microsoft Office, E-Mail, Etc.)
- Ability to learn and follow standard work process
- Follows all publicized safety policies/procedures and other safety regulations applicable to the job.
- Use as instructed the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Attend and participate in all safety training, safety committee meetings, audits, and safety programs as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- HS Diploma / GED required is required
- Vocational or Trade school in the course study in mechanical or industrial fields of any kind is highly valued
- Previous Experience in Manufacturing, Assembly or Maintenance is a plus
- Previous Experience in an ISO 9001 work environment is a plus
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Working on the production floor in a manufacturing plant
- Four Days a week at 10 hours per day
- Standing / on feet for extended periods
- Must be able to lift, bend and stoop
- Must be capable of lifting up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis
- Must be able to be on hands and knees for 80-90% of workday
