About the Role:
West CAP is looking for reliable Weatherization Technicians / Construction Specialists to join our team in Glenwood City, WI. You will perform residential energy efficiency upgrades, home weatherization, and minor home rehabilitation to help build stronger, energy-secure communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform residential weatherization measures including attic and sidewall insulation, window/door replacement, floor repairs, sheetrock patching, framing, and handicap accessibility installs.
- Utilize specialized trade tools and energy evaluation techniques to upgrade home heating systems and air distribution.
- Maintain clean, safe job sites in compliance with safety regulations and West CAP standards.
- Assist Crew Foremen with project setup, tool maintenance, and required project tracking documents.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in carpentry, residential construction, remodeling, or general building trades.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work comfortably in confined spaces (attics, mobile home bellies).
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license required.
- Certifications: Ability to obtain a Lead Renovator Certification (paid training provided by West CAP).
