Cardiology - Interventional Physician

Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Interventional Cardiologist for hospital-based locum tenens coverage. This is an inpatient-only opportunity providing hospital call, STEMI coverage, general cardiology call, and cath lab services as needed.

• Initial Onsite Date: December 30, 2026, for training and setup

• Coverage Begins: December 31, 2026, at 7:00 AM

• Coverage Ends: January 4, 2027, at 7:00 AM

• Estimated Shifts: 5

• Availability: Candidates must provide availability for the requested coverage dates.

• State License: Active Illinois medical license required

• DEA: Required

• CSR: Required

• Minimum Experience: 1-2 years

• Certifications: ATLS and PALS required

• Provide hospital-based interventional cardiology coverage.

• Manage hospital call, including STEMI and general cardiology call.

• Provide cath lab coverage as needed.

• Provide inpatient cardiology consultations and rounding.

• Interpret cardiac tests performed during coverage.

• Manage up to 10 patients on the inpatient service at a time.

• Approximately 3 new consults per day.

• Inpatient Nurse Practitioner support available for consults and rounds.

• Setting: Inpatient only; no outpatient clinic responsibilities.

• EMR: Epic

• Inpatient Nurse Practitioner support for rounding and consultations.
