Our client is an established manufacturer in Wilmington, NC, seeking a CMM Technician to join their quality team. In this role, you will help make sure every part meets specification by using precision measurement equipment and solid metrology practices. Job Responsibilities Program and operate CMM equipment to inspect machined parts against print specifications. - Read engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles to verify dimensional accuracy. - Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections to support production. - Test, calibrate, and maintain gauges and measuring instruments. - Perform routine maintenance on CMM equipment and help troubleshoot issues. - Record inspection results and calibration data in Excel. - Flag nonconforming parts and communicate findings to production and quality teams. - Follow all safety and quality standards in the lab and on the production floor. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. - Hands-on experience operating a CMM in a manufacturing or quality environment. - Working knowledge of metrology and precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. - GD&T training and experience reading blueprints. - Experience testing and calibrating gauges. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for documentation and data tracking. - Trade school or technical training in machining, quality, or metrology preferred. - Experience with CMM software is a plus.
