Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Location: Near Waco, TX
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Pay: $60 70 per hour (DOE)
Overview:
Our medical practice near Waco is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide timely, compassionate care to patients from pediatric through adult. You will manage both walk-in and scheduled visits.

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat common acute illnesses, minor injuries, and urgent complaints
- Manage sick visits, including ear infections, respiratory complaints, and gastrointestinal issues
- Assess and treat sprains, strains, and other minor musculoskeletal injuries, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests as needed
- Perform sports physicals and other routine exams, documenting findings and completing required forms
- Perform suturing and other routine clinical procedures within scope of practice, with proper wound care and patient education
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies
- Provide clear instructions for home care, follow-up, and when to seek further medical attention
- Document encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Qualifications:
- Active, current Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in Texas
- Minimum 3 years of NP experience in urgent care or emergency room settings
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
- Ability to work a rotating schedule, including weekends
- Experience with pediatric and adolescent populations, sports medicine, or occupational health preferred
