What You ll Do
- Provide cardiothoracic surgical coverage during assigned weekend call periods.
- Evaluate and consult on urgent cardiac and thoracic surgery cases.
- Provide surgical backup following patient consultation.
- Support care coordination for patients transitioning from the ICU through discharge.
- Respond to surgical needs involving patients ages 18 and older.
- Collaborate with advanced practice provider support staff.
- Document patient care using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
What You Need
Required: - Pennsylvania medical license
- DEA registration
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Cardiac Surgery
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- Availability for 24-hour weekend call coverage, 3 weekends per month
Preferred: - Experience providing urgent cardiothoracic surgical coverage
- Experience with EPIC
