  • Coverage: Day & Night shift combination
  • NICU Level: Level III
  • NICU Size: 40 beds
  • Hospital Size: 340 beds
Schedule & Coverage Model
  • Dates:
    • 12/30/2026
    • 12/31/2026
    • 1/1/2027
    • Day/Night Shift Coverage
  • Day Shift: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (2 Neonatologists)
  • Night Shift: 5:00 PM - 7:30 AM (1 in-house Neonatologist)
  • Staffing Model: 6 full-time Neonatologists
Clinical & Work Details
  • Transport: Nurse-driven team with physician oversight ( 15 transports/year)
  • NICU Stats (2025 YTD):
    • Admissions: 130
    • Average Daily Census: 14.3
    • Nursery ADC: 24.2
  • Procedures & Services:
    • High-frequency ventilation (HFOV & HFJV)
    • Inhaled nitric oxide
    • Therapeutic hypothermia with aEEG
    • Pediatric surgical patients
    • No ECMO or cardiac surgery (except PDA ligations)
Licenses & Certifications (Required)
  • Board Certification: Neonatology - Required
  • State License: Virginia license required
  • Recent Experience:
    • Must be clinically active within the last 12 months
    • Minimum 6 months of recent Neonatology experience required
