What You ll Do
- Provide general medical care to hospitalized adult patients with a wide range of acute medical conditions.
- Examine and evaluate patients upon admission.
- Diagnose and treat illnesses and diseases in the hospital setting.
- Coordinate care for hospitalized patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, laboratory work, and X-rays.
- Communicate with patients primary care providers and support follow-up after discharge.
- Answer patient questions about diagnoses and treatment plans.
What You Need
Required: - Active New York State Physician Assistant license.
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Board certification.
- At least 2 years of recent experience.
- Epic experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability for the required 7-on/7-off, 12-hour daytime schedule.
