Manufacturing Deburr (2nd Shift)
Shift: 2nd Shift Monday-Friday; 2pm - 10:30pm; overtime may be required
Starting Pay Rate: $16.00 - $19.00/hr - dependent upon experience
Shift Differential: $0.75 per hour for 2nd shift
Job Duties:
- Grind, file, sand and polish metal surfaces to a specified shape & smoothness using grinding hand tools on large dimension aerospace parts in excess of ft.
- Lift and position metal parts on bench
- Remove burrs and smooth out contoured surfaces with power tools
- Verify dimensions and radius, using micrometres, dial indicators and calipers as needed
- Inspect and measure parts
- Ensure organized and clean work area
- Perform other duties as assigned and necessary
Requirements
- 1-2+ years' experience in manufacturing or aerospace environment, preferred
- Previous experience with hand tools and grinders
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Machine shop experience preferred
- Must have the ability to be flexible on shift
- Self-motivated and produce quality work
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation to work
- Good attitude and willing to work as a team player
Working Conditions:
- Some overtime may be necessary
- Ability to regularly and frequently lift 50 pounds
- Will be exposed to constant activity that requires intermittent standing, bending, crouching, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting, moving, carrying light and heavy loads, and climbing stairs and ladders.
- Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate small power tools and other equipment for extended periods of time.
