OBG 24 Hour In-House Laborist Need - North Carolina

  • Specific Dates Needing Coverage: January 2027- August 2027
  • Averaging: 4 to 8 shifts per month
  • 24hr shifts with call. Required to stay on site while on call; sleep room available
  • Requirements: Active North Carolina Medical License, DEA, BLS, BC Required

  • Required Procedures: Cesarean delivery, D&C (obstetric and gynecologic), Diagnostic and Operative laparoscopy, urgent/emergent gynecologic cases

  • Shift will include ED consults, GYN service, emergent GYN surgeries, and labor and delivery
  • Established practice inclusive of 27 physicians and 9 Advanced Practice Providers
  • Schedule will include call, nights, and weekends
  • Call will be shared with other OBGYN Generalists within the OBGYN department and with a Certified Nurse Midwife
  • Average inpatient census: 50
  • Average number of admissions per day: 10
  • Average number of admissions per night: 5
  • Volume of surgical casers per month: 10 a month per surgeon
  • Will the LT respond to codes: Yes
  • Will the LT be expected to serve as ack up in the ER: Locums will serve as back up to ER because LT will be covering ED consults
