Position OverviewWe are seeking a qualified Urology Physician to provide ongoing clinic coverage in a collaborative clinical environment. The physician will provide outpatient urological care, perform office-based procedures, and support surgical services as appropriate to their experience and scope of practice.The clinic typically sees approximately 2428 patients per day, including office visits and cystoscopy/stent-related procedures. Patient volume may be lower depending on clinical needs and scheduling.Clinical Support StaffThe physician will be supported by the following clinic staff:4 Medical Assistants (MAs)1 Clinical Support Associate (CSA)1 Registered Nurse (RN)Patient PopulationPrimarily adult patients aged 18 and older.Pediatric cases are generally managed by the appropriate specialty; however, occasional emergency cases, such as testicular torsion presenting during call at York Hospital, may require coverage.Clinical Responsibilities and ProceduresThe physician should be comfortable providing general urological care and performing applicable procedures, including:VasectomyCystoscopy in the operating roomProstate proceduresUreteroscopy in the operating roomLithotripsyOrchiopexyPenile plicationPenile implants, rarely performedVasectomy reversal, preferred but not mandatoryCircumcision is generally managed by Obstetrics for pediatric patients. Occasional support may be requested during call coverage.Robotic Surgery: Available and applicable to the practice.Endoscopic Scope Experience: Preferred if part of the physician's established practice; not required.Qualifications and RequirementsBoard Certified or Board Eligible in UrologyActive Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ), as applicableDEA registration requiredMinimum of 1 year of experience requiredCredentialingEstimated credentialing timeframe: 90 daysTemporary privileges may be available for applicants with a clean credentialing file, subject to facility approval.Coverage ExpectationsMondayFriday clinic coverageFull-week assignments on an ongoing basisApproximately 2428 patients per day, subject to clinical needs and schedulingCollaboration with clinic staff and the broader urology team
