Schedule / Call- Clinic: Monday ÄìFriday, 8 a.m. Äì5 p.m.
- Weeknight call: Monday ÄìThursday, 5 p.m. Äì8 a.m.
- Weekend remote call: Friday at 5 p.m. ÄìMonday at 8 a.m.
- The clinic is closed January 1
Assignment Details- Outpatient hematology/oncology clinic and infusion center
- Hospital consultations required
- Approximately 15 Äì20 patients per day
- Broad hematology/oncology caseload covering all tumor types
- Physician serves as the solo onsite hematologist/oncologist
- ER physicians and hospitalists manage admissions in collaboration with the locum
- EMR: iKnowMed for clinic and Cerner for infusion services

- Precision-medicine planning
- Symptom management
- Hematology and oncology treatment
- Oversight of chemotherapy and infusion services
- Chemotherapy and immunotherapy
- Blood and platelet transfusions
- Hormone and antibiotic therapy
- Rheumatoid arthritis injections
- Therapeutic phlebotomy
- Hospital consultations and remote call
Support- One advanced practice provider
- One clinic RN
- Ten infusion RNs
- Two medical assistants
- Two front-office staff
- Quality and billing support
Requirements- Board-certified or truly board-eligible in Hematology/Oncology
- Hematology/Oncology fellowship required
- Active California medical license
- Active DEA registration
- Must be clinically active
- ACLS required if requesting moderate-sedation privileges
- PALS required only if treating pediatric patients
- Exact availability required with presentation
