Neurology Physician

A healthcare facility in New Hampshire is seeking a Board-Certified Neurology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity providing outpatient neurological care to adult patients.

This position offers a predictable weekday schedule, a manageable patient volume, and a collaborative clinical environment. Full-time availability is preferred, but providers who can commit to at least three weeks per month will be considered.

• 8-hour clinical shifts

• Full-time coverage preferred

• Providers available a minimum of three weeks per month will be considered

• No inpatient coverage indicated

• No call requirement specified

• Approximately patients per day

• Appointments typically scheduled every 30 minutes

• Primarily established and returning patients

The physician will provide outpatient neurological evaluations, treatment, and ongoing management of adult patients.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluating and managing patients with neurological conditions

• Providing follow-up care for established patients

• Diagnosing and treating migraines and other headache disorders

• Managing stroke-related and post-stroke neurological concerns

• Evaluating and managing seizure disorders

• Providing ongoing care for patients with multiple sclerosis

• Managing sleep disorders and restless leg syndrome

• Prescribing and managing medications

• Monitoring treatment response and disease progression

• Coordinating care with APPs and nursing staff

• Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation in Epic

• No procedures required

• No EMGs

• No sleep studies

The physician will work with an established clinical team that includes:

• Three Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)

• Nursing staff

No APP supervision is required.

• MD or DO degree

• Board certification in Neurology required

• Minimum of one year of clinical experience

• Active New Hampshire medical license preferred

• Candidates requiring state licensure will be considered

• BLS certification required

• DEA registration required

• Epic experience preferred

• Estimated credentialing time: approximately 90 days

• Currently licensed New Hampshire providers preferred

• Orientation: 8 hours, non-billable

• Provider's full name and NPI number required for name clearance and submission

Travel accommodations are permitted, including:

• Airfare

• Rental car

Compensation details will be discussed with qualified candidates.

• Regular hourly rate: To be determined

• Overtime rate: Same as the regular hourly rate

• Holiday rate: 1.4 times the regular hourly rate
