In this setting, you will play a vital role in supporting patients through critical points in their surgical experience, ensuring clinical excellence and continuity of care.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree , required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
- Experience: One year of ASC, PACU or operating room experience, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: RN License in Appropriate State, required. ACLS and PALS, preferred.
- Additional Skills (required): Must have a thorough understanding of role of RN and the ability to carry out the functions as stated in the appropriate relevant state nurse practice act. Ability to set priorities and organize workload of unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient's age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to age specific needs. Proficient in telephone screening and interviewing skills.
What You'll Do:
- Support patients through Ophthalmology, UROGYN, Women's, Plastics, and general surgical procedures.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical techs
- Advocate for patients and ensure a smooth perioperative experience
