Job description

Opportunity:

Physician - Internal Medicine - Nephrology

Job Details:

Provide inpatient nephrology coverage with regular hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, followed by 15 on-call hours on weekdays and 24 on-call hours on Saturdays and Sundays

Full-time clinic coverage plus 1 week per month call coverage required

Minimum of 7 consecutive shifts per assignment

Manage an inpatient rounding list that fluctuates between 14 and 18 patients per shift

Treat inpatient nephrology patients with expertise in dialysis management including hemodialysis, CRRT, and peritoneal dialysis

Management of post-renal transplant patients required

Catheter placement required

Support staff includes Fresenius RNs in the inpatient dialysis unit, as well as an RN and Medical Assistants in the nephrology clinic available to assist with outpatient dialysis orders

Board certification or board eligibility required with a minimum of fellowship level training

BLS certification required

Trauma Level 2 facility
