Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Position Details: SE Weekender - Licensed Practical Nurse Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO
Department: Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) Status: Part-Time - 24hrs/week Shift: 12 Hour Nights - Scheduled Weekends Position may be sign-on bonus eligible up to $2,000 Qualifications: - Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
- Experience: Experience preferred but not required.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. LPN-IV Certification must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri. Other unit specific certifications as required.
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
- Physical Requirements/Demands: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
