Levels I II: $28.00 $32.00 per hour.
Level III: $35.00 $38.00 per hour.
Join Nelson Numeric, a Sussek Machine Company, and become part of a precision manufacturing team producing tight-tolerance aerospace components from exotic alloys. We are seeking CNC Machinists at Levels I, II, and III to set up and operate CNC machinery and produce high-quality precision components in a quality-focused manufacturing environment.
Youll work on-site at our Bloomington, MN location with multiple shift options available, including first shift, second shift, and weekend schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines, including CNC lathes and other equipment as required.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and CNC programs.
Adjust tooling, feeds, speeds, and machine settings to meet production and quality requirements.
Inspect machined components using precision measurement tools.
Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
Follow established safety and quality procedures while minimizing material waste.
Assist with training and mentoring other machinists as appropriate for experience level.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
CNC machining experience appropriate to the position level:
o Level I: Experience and demonstrated skills appropriate to the position.
o Level II: Minimum of two years of CNC machining experience with lathes.
o Level III: Minimum of five years of CNC machining experience with lathes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T specifications, and CNC programs.
Understanding of machine setup, tooling requirements, and tool presetting.
Strong mechanical aptitude, measurement skills, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with manufacturing computer systems and Microsoft applications.
Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and production standards.
Level III: Ability to interpret multi-axis CNC programs and demonstrate fluency in G-code and M-code.
Preferred Qualifications
Two-year degree in Machining Technology or completion of a CNC machining trade school program.
Shift Schedules
1st Shift
Monday Thursday, 6:00 AM 4:30 PM.
2nd Shift
Monday Thursday, 4:30 PM 3:00 AM.
12% shift premium.
Weekend Shift
Friday Sunday, 6:00 AM 6:00 PM.
Work three days and receive 40 hours of pay.
12% shift premium.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
Ability to stand throughout the workday, except during breaks.
Ability to safely operate machinery and tools required for the position.
Compensation & Benefits
Levels I II: $28.00 $32.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Level III: $35.00 $38.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
12% shift premium for second and weekend shifts.
