Locums - Clinton, North Carolina, Nocturnist Opening (IMLC Accepted)
Clinical RoleRecruitWell is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine physician for a locums Nocturnist opportunity in Clinton, North Carolina. This role includes overnight care for adult, pediatric, and newborn nursery patients in an open ICU environment. IMLC candidates are accepted.
Assignment Details
Start: Mid-January 2027
Duration: Approximately 12 weeks
Shift: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM
Approximately 8-10 shifts per month
Overnight rounding and admissions
One physician responsible for overnight coverage
Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Provide Hospitalist coverage for adult, pediatric, and newborn nursery patients
Manage approximately 30-35 patients, shared with another provider
Complete overnight rounding and admissions
Respond to hospital codes
Provide newborn nursery care
Perform newborn resuscitation when needed
Manage patients in an open ICU setting
Collaborate with available consulting specialists
Complete timely clinical documentation

Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
Board Eligible candidates must be within 3 years of completing residency
Active North Carolina medical license required
IMLC accepted
Current NRP certification required
Must be comfortable treating adult and pediatric patients
Newborn nursery experience required
Must be comfortable working in an open ICU
