Position Highlights

Competitive Pay: $31 $48 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Shift: Evenings, 2:00 PM 10:30 PM

Weekends: Every other weekend

Dedicated clinical microbiology environment
Key Responsibilities

Perform clinical microbiology testing, including specimen processing and culture workups

Conduct microbial identification, Gram stain interpretation, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing

Serve as a technical resource for laboratory staff

Support staff training, technical troubleshooting, and laboratory workflow

Assist with method validation and maintaining laboratory quality standards

Work with automated microbiology systems and laboratory information systems

Maintain compliance with CAP, CLIA, CLSI, and laboratory safety standards
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, or a related field

Minimum 2 years of clinical microbiology laboratory experience

ASCP certification or eligibility preferred

Strong experience with cultures, organism identification, Gram stains, and susceptibility testing

Familiarity with automated microbiology systems such as MALDI, MicroScan, or WASPLab

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Previous training, supervisory, or technical leadership experience is a plus
