Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic electrical team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive experience in industrial and commercial electrical systems, demonstrating proficiency in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and installation. This role involves working on diverse projects, including new construction, renovations, and maintenance across industrial and commercial sites. MUST HAVE ACTIVE JOURNEYMAN LICENSE

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage circuits.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately to guide installation and troubleshooting.
• Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults or system inefficiencies.
• Perform troubleshooting on complex electrical systems, diagnosing issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components critical for industrial operations.
• Ensure all work adheres to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards, NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely to complete wiring tasks on construction sites or renovation projects.
• Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to prevent accidents or injuries during all phases of work.
• Read electrical schematics and blueprints thoroughly to execute precise wiring layouts for new installations or upgrades.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to coordinate installation schedules and project timelines.

Qualifications

• Valid Active Journeyman Electrician license with proven experience in industrial and commercial settings.
• Extensive knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and automation controls.
• Demonstrated experience with troubleshooting complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and PLC testers.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes is essential.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately.
• Strong understanding of electrical wiring practices for both low voltage and high voltage applications.
• Construction site experience with a focus on renovation projects or new installations preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to safety procedures.
• Prior handyman or general construction experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
