Quality Control

Key Responsibilities

• Inspections & Testing: Perform visual, dimensional, and functional checks on incoming, in-process, and final products using precision tools (such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs).
• Blueprint & Standard Verification: Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Documentation & Reporting: Record inspection results, maintain logs, issue First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), and track non-conformances.
• Non-Conformance Management: Identify, tag, and segregate defective materials, and assist with root-cause investigations (such as CAPA or Ishikawa analysis).
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry regulations and Quality Management Systems like ISO 9001 or AS9100.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in engineering, manufacturing, or quality assurance preferred.
• Experience: Typically 1 to 2 years of hands-on inspection experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment (such as aerospace, automotive, or electronics).
• Technical Skills: Blueprint/GD&T reading, precision measurement instrument handling, and database or ERP entry (e.g., SAP).
• Soft Skills: High attention to detail, clear written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
