Opportunity
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a family medicine locum tenens opportunity in Fresno, CA. Provide outpatient primary care to patients across the lifespan in a collaborative community health setting. Applicants must have at least one year of experience as an NP or PA. Two positions are available: one at the First clinic and one at the Clinton clinic.
Schedule and assignment
- Clinic schedule, patient volume, and assignment duration to be confirmed for the selected opening.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive visits, health screenings, and evaluation and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing, develop treatment plans, and coordinate referrals and follow-up care within the provider s scope of practice.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to support coordinated, patient-centered care and patient and family education.
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records.
Qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with at least one year of NP or PA experience; new graduates are not eligible.
- Active California NP or PA licensure and credentials appropriate to the role and patient population; prescribing credentials as applicable.
- Ability to provide family medicine care within training, certification, and scope of practice.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and teamwork skills; commitment to caring for diverse and underserved communities.
