Pay: $130 000 per year (DOE)
Overview:
Our medical practice in Rochester is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to support spine and select cranial surgical cases in both the operating room and clinic. Working alongside attending surgeons, you ll split your week between surgery and patient care as your skills develop. New grads are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in spine and select cranial surgeries, including first assist under surgeon supervision
- Round on post-operative inpatients and adjust care plans with the surgical team
- Lead post-operative office visits, including wound checks, medication management, and patient education on recovery and rehabilitation
- Support patient care across the perioperative continuum, from pre-op assessment through post-op follow-up
- Communicate with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing, anesthesia, rehab, and radiology, to ensure seamless patient flow and care continuity
- Maintain accurate, timely charting and support quality improvement initiatives within the practice
Qualifications:
- Active, current Physician Assistant (PA) licensure in New York
- Prior experience in neurosurgery, spine surgery, or orthopedic surgery preferred, including post-op patient management in an office or hospital setting
- Familiarity with spine imaging, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and X-ray, and exposure to cranial or neurosurgical cases preferred
- Comfort with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and surgical scheduling workflows
