Neonatal - Perinatal Medicine Physician

We are seeking for a locum tenens physician specializing in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine to support its inpatient Neonatology department.

• Start date: ASAP

• Duration: Ongoing

• Practice setting: Inpatient NICU

• Coverage: No call

• NICU capacity: 45 beds

• Patient volume: Approximately 19 patients per shift

• Admissions: Required

• EMR: Epic

• Temporary privileges: Available

Provide inpatient neonatal care, including admissions and management of newborns with acute and chronic conditions. Perform essential neonatal procedures and collaborate with the NICU nursing team to support patient care.

• Acute and chronic newborn/neonatal care

• Exchange transfusion

• Umbilical arterial catheter placement

• Umbilical venous catheter placement

Pediatric ventilation management experience is preferred.

• Required: BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) provider/instructor certification

• Preferred: PALS

• Optional: APLS

• Not required: ACLS or ATLS
