A well-established outpatient eye care practice in Michigan is seeking a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist for an ongoing locum tenens assignment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, productive practice with a strong support team and a consistent schedule.
Position Highlights
- Ongoing locum tenens assignment
- Outpatient clinic and surgical responsibilities
- Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- No call required
- Preferred schedule of 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
- Epic EMR
- Michigan license or IMLC required
Practice Details
- Busy, high-volume ophthalmology practice
- Approximately 20 patients per day
- Two experienced Medical Assistants providing support
- Provider expected to maintain a productive schedule
- Clinic visits, procedures, and surgical cases included
Required Skills & Procedures
Candidates must be comfortable with:
- Cataract surgery
- Phacoemulsification
- Intraocular lens implantation
- Intravitreal injections
- Comprehensive ophthalmology care
- Anterior and posterior segment procedures
- Glaucoma treatment and management
- Diagnostic interpretation including OCT and ophthalmic imaging
Requirements
- Board Certified Ophthalmologist
- Active Michigan license or eligibility through IMLC
- BLS certification
- Ability to perform cataract surgery and intravitreal injections independently
