Cardiology - Interventional Physician

We are seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to locum tenens coverage in Illinois. This part-time position offers weekend call coverage with the opportunity to provide both interventional and general cardiology services in a community hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing emergent cardiac cases, performing necessary interventions, and providing weekend patient rounding.

Position Overview

• Two weekends a month
• Friday at 5 PM through Monday at 8 AM
• Provide weekend call coverage for both interventional and general cardiology services
• Round on patients Saturday and Sunday (approximately 4 5 hours per day)
• Be available for emergent consultations and interventions
• Average hospital call-backs: 0 4 per day
• Deliver timely, high-quality documentation of patient encounters and interventions
• EMR: Cerner

Requirements

• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
• Minimum 1 year post-training
• Active Illinois medical license
• ACLS, DEA, and Illinois CSR required
