JOB SUMMARY
Inventory, Shipping, Receiving Clerk is a vital member of the logistics and supply chain team responsible for the efficient and effective management of materials within a warehouse setting. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team. The primary responsibility of the Receiving Clerk is to manage the efficient receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments. Interdepartmental communication regarding product, process, and shipments.
This is a hybrid position with clerical and warehouse duties combined, you must possess experience in both categories. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring that products are received in a timely and accurate manner. Attention to detail is required.
Key Responsibilities:
This role will contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment as the RDS team continues to grow.
Receiving and Inception:
o Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the delivered item.
o Inspect products for damages, discrepancies, or defects.
o Record and report any issues with received items to the appropriate department.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
o Maintain detailed and accurate records of received shipments.
o Update inventory systems with received quantities and product details.
o Generate and maintain receiving reports for auditing purposes.
Communication:
o Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve any receiving issues.
o Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth flow of information regarding incoming shipments.
Organization and Storage:
o Organize and store received items in designated storage areas.
o Ensure that the storage area is clean, organized, and complies with safety regulations.
Collaboration:
o Work closely with purchasing and warehouse teams to coordinate and prioritize incoming shipments.
o Lead the cycle counting efforts, move inventory into the system and be a driver of inventory accuracy.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years experience in a clerical office position
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a hybrid logistics/clerical environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Excellent organization and time-management skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy items.
Proficient in using computer software and inventory management systems.
