Twin Stone Designs and Installation has been around over 26 years doing architectural natural stone work all over the country. We're a family business and we run our own fabrication shop in Opa-locka with a Park Industries SawJet, a Park Fusion and a Breton 5 axis.
We need someone who knows AutoCAD and wants to get into the programming side of a real shop. This is not a machine operator job. You'll be taking field tickets and shop drawings from our project managers, drawing them up in AutoCAD and turning them into programs for the machines. If you've never programmed a CNC before but you're strong in AutoCAD and understand geometry we will train you on our machines and software.
Fair warning, this is a shop not an office. There's stone dust and water and you'll be out on the floor a lot of the day. Everybody helps with loading and unloading slabs and keeping material moving so you have to be ok getting a little dirty.
What you'll do:
-Draw up field tickets and shop drawings in AutoCAD
-Build cut programs for the SawJet, Fusion and Breton 5 axis
-Check layouts and dimensions before anything gets cut
-Work with the machine operators on the floor when something doesn't come out right
-Help with loading, unloading and organizing slabs and finished pieces
-Keep track of what's been programmed, cut and what's next
What we need:
-AutoCAD experience, 2D drafting at minimum (this one is a must)
-Good with geometry, angles and reading drawings
-Comfortable working in an industrial shop environment
-Able to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet
-Reliable, shows up on time and can work overtime
Big plus if you have:
-CAM software experience (AlphaCAM, Park or Breton software, or anything similar)
-CNC, waterjet or router programming in any material, stone, wood, metal or countertops
-3D modeling
-Forklift experience
There's steady overtime here, usually around 20 hrs a week, so the take home is a lot more than the hourly rate looks. We provide the training on the machines and there's room to grow as the company keeps growing.
