Job Description Job Description
The role
You will grow Kint's fire sprinkler business across three lines of work: new installations, inspection and service agreements, and modifications to existing systems. You'll take each opportunity from the first conversation through site walk, scope, estimate, proposal, and close.
This is not a quote-sending job. The right person can walk a building, understand what the system needs, build an accurate scope and price, explain the value to the customer, and win the work.
You won't start from zero. Kint has an established base of sprinkler inspection and service customers. You will work with our inspection team to turn findings into deficiency repairs, modifications, and replacements, while growing recurring inspection and service agreements with new and existing customers.
What you'll do
• Sell new sprinkler installations: new construction, renovations, tenant fit-outs, system replacements, and expansions
• Sell and renew inspection, testing, and maintenance agreements (NFPA 25) for new and existing customers
• Sell modifications to existing systems: moves, adds, and changes for tenant changes, renovations, and deficiency corrections
• Partner with Kint's inspection and service team to turn deficiencies and aging systems into quoted work
• Build relationships with general contractors, property owners, facility managers, property managers, and developers
• Review plans, specifications, inspection reports, and project requirements
• Walk job sites to gather what you need for an accurate scope and price
• Prepare estimates, proposals, service agreements, and scopes of work
• Follow up on proposals and negotiate work through award
• Hand off awarded work smoothly to our design, project management, service, and field teams
• Keep an active pipeline in our CRM with accurate, current updates on every opportunity
What you bring
Required
• 3+ years in the fire sprinkler industry in sales, estimating, design, service, or project management
• Working knowledge of commercial sprinkler systems, installation practices, NFPA 13, and NFPA 25 inspection requirements
• Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and sprinkler plans
• Strong estimating and proposal-writing skills
• Clear communicator who builds lasting customer relationships
• Self-directed and organized, with consistent follow-up across many opportunities
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Big plus: sprinkler design experience
Design experience is the biggest advantage in this role. If you have done system layout or hydraulic calculations, worked in AutoSPRINK, HydraCAD, or SprinkCAD, or hold NICET certification in Water-Based Systems Layout, we especially want to hear from you. Designers who want to move into sales are encouraged to apply.
Also helpful
• Experience selling recurring inspection or service agreements
• Experience with a CRM
Pay and benefits
• Competitive base salary
• Health, dental, and vision insurance
• Health savings account (HSA)
• 401(k) with company match
• Paid time off
