Lead Slicer

$18.50-$20/hour
If you know your way around a kitchen, take pride in doing things right, and like being the person others can count on during the rush, we want to meet you! We're hiring a Lead Slicer to run the heart of the line.
You'll set the pace, own the standard, make sure every sandwich comes out the same no matter who's working and one that you are proud to handle across the counter! You won't just work the line, you will lead it!
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the slicer by safely running the power slicer and ensuring portion proteins and cheese to Sammy's standards.
- Get us ready for the rush by hitting daily pars before 11 am, label and rotate product, and keep the line stocked.
- Build a great sandwich every time by preparing pressed and hot sandwiches to our build cards with speed and consistency.
- Own the space by keeping the slicer, line, and counter spotless, closing out your station ready for the next shift, and treating the shop like it's yours.
- Lead the shift by keeping the line moving, coaching teammates in real time, training new hires on the slicer and our builds, and holding the bar on food safety and quality.
- Bring the hospitality by getting to know your regulars, greeting guests, helping guests find their next favorite sandwich, and never sending out a sandwich you wouldn't be excited to eat yourself,
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 18 or older is required to operate a power slicer
- Kitchen, deli, or line experience.
- Slicer experience is a plus, but we'll train you on our system
- Ability to stay calm and organized during a busy rush
- Someone who takes pride in a clean station and a sandwich built right
- Team player who can coach others without creating drama
- Douglas County food handler permit or willingness to obtain one promptly
- Ability to stand or move for the majority of the shift, lift 25 pounds, and work safely around food service equipment
SCHEDULE
- Day and early evening shifts
- Friday and Saturday available is important
- Sunday through Wednesday, Open 10:30 am - 5 pm
- Thursday through Saturday, Open 10:30 am - 7 pm
