This position requires extensive travel and extended stays away from home.
NCV Telecom is hiring dependable Low Voltage Technicians with hands-on installation, service, and troubleshooting experience. We are looking for people who take pride in their workmanship, communicate clearly, and follow through.
Assignments may include international projects in the Bahamas. A valid passport may be required for certain assignments.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Install and support security, life safety, and communications systems across various project locations. Candidates should have experience with one or more of the following:
Intrusion detection and burglar alarms, including Bosch systems.
Access control panels, readers, and associated door connections.
Commercial fire alarm systems.
CCTV and IP video surveillance.
Fiber-optic installation, termination, splicing, and testing.
Structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure.
You do not need experience in every system listed to apply.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot cabling and equipment.
Follow floor plans, wiring diagrams, equipment schedules, and installation specifications.
Maintain clean cable routing, organized equipment, and professional installation standards.
Identify technical issues, material shortages, and field conditions that could affect completion.
Provide accurate work notes, progress updates, and required documentation.
Follow safety procedures, manufacturer instructions, and customer requirements.
Perform fire alarm work within applicable qualifications and project requirements.
Work independently or alongside a crew to complete assigned tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous low-voltage installation, service, or related technical experience.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions.
Strong troubleshooting skills, dependability, and clear communication.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet applicable job-site requirements.
Availability for 100% travel and extended assignments.
Industry certifications, manufacturer training, and fiber-optic experience are a plus.
PAY AND BENEFITS
Competitive pay based on technical expertise and experience.
After 90 days of employment, eligible employees can enroll in medical and dental coverage, with NCV Telecom paying 50% of the employee-only premiums
Eligible employees accrue up to 40 hours of paid time off annually, beginning on their hire date. Accrued PTO is available for use after 90 days of employment.
Traveling technicians receive a daily per diem for each workday while on assignment.
