JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Licenses: Active DC license required or willingness to obtain
  • Board: BC/BE in Neuropathology
  • Experience: Fellowship in Neuropathology, grant funding experience, academic publication record
  • Other Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiasm for teaching, collaborative attitude, leadership
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide leadership and oversight of neuropathological services in the Division of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine.
  • Work with faculty and Division Chief to support increased availability of clinical diagnostics for neurological disorders, especially molecularly based.
  • Lead a research team and program to study the molecular basis of pediatric brain tumors in the Brain Tumor Institute.
  • Collaborate with investigators and leaders of the Brain Tumor Institute to improve diagnostics and treatment of children with brain cancer.
  • Teach and mentor trainees (enthusiasm for teaching required).
