Requirements & Qualifications:
- Board Certification: Board Certified in Pediatrics required (or truly Board Eligible accepted)
- Licensure: Active Arizona State Medical License & Active Arizona DEA required
- Certifications: Active AHA BLS required; AHA PALS required for ED shifts; ATLS (AHA)
- Experience: Minimum 1+ year of experience at a children's hospital required
- Competency: Must be able to perform required procedures
Coverage Dates & Schedule:
- Coverage Dates: April 1, 2027 June 30, 2028
- Reason for Coverage: Hospital Expansion
- Shift Types: Varied (Days, Evenings, and minimal Nights)
- Shift Lengths: Combination of 7-hour (evenings), 8-hour (ED shifts), and 10-hour (weekends) shifts
- Weekend Requirements: Yes
- On-Call Requirements: None
Clinical Responsibilities & Volume:
- Practice Setting: Urgent Care & Pediatric Emergency Department (predominantly lower acuity patients in the ED)
- Patient Population: 100% Pediatric
- Patient Volume / Site Distribution:
- Main Level 1 Trauma Center ED: 75,000 visits/year
- Level 4 ED Site 1: 30,000 visits/year
- Level 4 ED Site 2: 55,000 visits/year
- New Expansion Site: 20,000 projected visits/year
- Site Assignment: Pediatricians could work in Urgent Care only or in the ED. Providers could be used at any of the 4 Urgent Care sites or any ED campuses (geographically localized to a few sites in close proximity).

- Administration of local anesthetics (including basic and regional blocks)
- Procedural Sedation
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Sunrise Clinical Manager
