Forklift Driver - Specialized Four-Fork Forklift

TempExperts is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to safely and efficiently move pallets, products, and materials throughout a busy industrial facility in Cowpens, SC. This position requires specialized experience operating a sit-down forklift equipped with four forks instead of the standard two. The ideal candidate will have extensive forklift experience, strong safety awareness, and the physical ability to repeatedly mount and dismount the equipment throughout the shift.
Schedule: 12-hour AM shift, 5:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with weekend flexibility required.
Pay: Starting at $17.00 per hour. Compensation may be reevaluated during the assignment based on performance.
Top Responsibilities:
- Operate a specialized four-fork sit-down forklift to move pallets and materials safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, transport, and position pallets in designated areas throughout the facility.
- Get on and off the forklift frequently-up to 300 times per day-to label and scan pallets.
- Read and understand English instructions, labels, and safety procedures.
- Inspect materials for damage and report shortages, discrepancies, or quality concerns.
- Follow established safety procedures and company policies.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate scanning, labeling, and inventory records as required.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of sit-down forklift operating experience.
- Experience operating a four-fork forklift is strongly preferred due to the specialized nature of the equipment.
- Ability to safely and repeatedly mount and dismount a forklift throughout a 12-hour shift.
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Strong attention to detail when labeling, scanning, and moving pallets.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work carefully around people, equipment, and materials.
- Reliable attendance, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Weekend flexibility.
