  • Average Daily Volume: 10 patients per day
  • Rounding: Assigned Patients
  • Case Mix: High-acuity neonatal care, including transport, PICC/UVC/UAC lines, chest tubes, lumbar punctures, intubations
FACILITY INFORMATION
  • No. of Beds in Department: 56 beds
  • EMR System: Cerner
  • Support Staff: RNs: 20-22, PA/NPs: 2-3, Office Staff: 1
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
  • Hospital Privileges Required: No
  • Temporary Privileges Available: No
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: Board Certified (required)
  • Licenses: Pennsylvania license required (IMLC accepted; can start application process)
  • Certifications: BLS, PALS, NRP
  • Experience: Prior NICU experience required; transport experience preferred
  • Other Qualifications: Must complete online EMR training and transport orientation; comfortable with ground and air transport
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily care of neonates in Level IV NICU in collaboration with neonatologists
  • Perform PICC/UVC/UAC line placement, chest tubes, lumbar punctures, and intubations
  • Participate in ground and air transport of critically ill neonates
  • Complete EMR documentation and participate in orientation/training
  • Work a mix of day, evening, night, and weekend shifts as scheduled
