PrideStaff is seeking a Picker / Sit Down Forklift for a client at a National tire distribution center in Chino CA.
- Schedule: M-F 8am - 4:30pm or 9am - 5:30pm
- Pay Rate: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour
Job Summary
The primary goal is to fulfil customer orders quickly and accurately while using industrial lifting equipment. Operators work in distribution centers, fulfillment hubs, and large storage warehouses.
Core Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Drive and maneuver stand-up forklifts, cherry pickers, or motorized pallet jacks at ground level and elevated rack heights.
- Pick Orders: Read pick lists or use RF scanners/voice systems to find specific items, SKUs, and quantities across warehouse aisles.
- Inspect and Stage: Wrap pallets in shrink-wrap, label boxes, verify item counts, and transport completed orders to loading docks.
- Manage Inventory: Assist with cycle counts, restock depleted shelf locations, and report damaged goods or inventory mismatches.
- Maintain Safety: Complete daily equipment checklists, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and keep aisles clear of hazards.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience: 6 months to 1+ year of prior warehouse experience operating material handling equipment.
- Certification: Valid forklift or motorized equipment certification (or ability to pass on-site training).
- Physical Strength: Ability to stand/walk for long shifts and frequently lift 25 to 50 pounds.
- Comfort with Heights: Ability to work safely on elevated order-picker platforms at significant rack heights.
- Attention to Detail: Strong basic math, reading comprehension, and accuracy for verifying serial numbers and barcodes
