Family Practice - Without OB Physician

We are seeking a Family Medicine Physician for a full-time locum tenens opportunity in North Carolina. This three-month assignment offers the potential for extension and involves providing medical care to adults with complex medical needs, severe mental illness, and dementia.

Overview

• Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
• Phone and pager coverage from home on a rotating schedule, approximately one in four
• Approximately 7 8 days per month for call, including potential weekday and weekend coverage
• Conduct daily medical rounds and evaluate acute and non-emergent medical conditions
• Manage illnesses, injuries, and ongoing medical needs of assigned residents
• Perform admission history and physical examinations and discharge evaluations
• Review laboratory results, EKGs, X-rays, consultations, and other clinical reports
• Order appropriate treatments, diagnostic studies, and follow-up assessments
• Complete required clinical documentation and 30-day and 60-day resident assessments
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Active North Carolina medical license in good standing
• Board eligible accepted, board certification preferred
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
